FOR CLINICIANS

Read in context.
Apply with judgment.

Read the complete guideline, its scope, evidence search dates, recommendation grades, and limitations. Combine evidence with clinical expertise and the person’s goals, circumstances, and preferences. A publication year alone does not establish that a guideline is current or appropriate for a particular patient.

FOR PATIENTS & CAREGIVERS

Understand.
Ask. Decide together.

“Patient resource” opens the publisher’s explanation or fact sheet. Selected cards also include brief AZFPT patient takeaways based on the linked source. The separate questions on each card are conversation prompts, not summaries of treatment recommendations. Use them to prepare for a discussion with your healthcare professional.

Sources and access

Guidelines and linked materials belong to their authors and publishers. PDF buttons open publisher-hosted originals; AZFPT does not rehost these files or claim affiliation with APTA Orthopedics or JOSPT. Access may vary by publisher. The source page remains available when a PDF link moves or requires access.

Twenty-one entries match the linked published collection, including one carpal tunnel edition superseded by the 2026 revision. Earlier editions linked within individual publisher pages are not exhaustively indexed. Patient explanations can predate guideline revisions; dates are shown where identified, and older handouts should be discussed in light of current guidance.
